Thanks for visiting our site. We’re glad that we can share with you some of our attempts to capture the beauty of the created world that our gracious God has given us to enjoy. Trying to capture some of that beauty – from a grand mountain landscape to the intricate petals of a flower—motivates our photography.
The Chicago area, where we live, is not known as a great location for nature photography. But the lack of grand vistas forces us to look at the world around us more closely, where we often find natural beauty in unexpected places. And our frequent travels have given us the opportunity to photograph some of the better-known natural features of our world. Our photographs are genuinely a team effort: Doug is a bit better at the technical side of photography, while Jenny is the more creative.
Photography is not our full-time vocation. Jenny spent three decades of our married life as a homemaker, raising our five children. She now works from home for various publishers doing proofing and indexing as well as being Assistant Editor for Trinity Journal. Doug works at Wheaton College, where he is Blanchard Professor of New Testament. His calling is to study, teach, and write about the New Testament. If you want to learn more about this side of Doug‘s life, click here.
A passion to glorify the God who has given himself to us in his Son, Jesus Christ, integrates all that we do. We pray that the photographs we share with you will reveal something of the goodness and greatness of that creator God.
